Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm

Skin HE (20×)

In the dermis, there are conspicuous irregular tumour infiltrates, predominantly perivascular, without epidermotropism.

Skin biopsy, haematoxylin and eosin stain.

Skin HE (400×)

The tumour is composed of immature medium-sized blastic cells with a brisk mitotic activity. Immunohistochemically, the tumour was positive for CD4, CD56, and TdT, flow cytometry from heavily infiltrated bone marrow revealed positivity of CD123.

Skin biopsy, haematoxylin and eosin stain.
